Some love stories begin with a spark, but Alaina and Brian’s began in a grocery store aisle with a chicken tender. They first met in Colorado when Brian traveled out to visit mutual friends. Recovering from a concussion at the time, Alaina was admittedly a little snippy when Brian’s very first icebreaker was offering her a grocery store snack. Despite the rocky first impression, the two grew on each other back at their shared Airbnb, setting off a lifelong partnership.
Within their first year together, they returned to Snowmass, Colorado, for Alaina's birthday to celebrate exactly where their journey began. Staying in a cozy mountain studio and snowboarding for a few days, they fully soaked in the magic of finding their forever person. When it came time to propose, Brian brought the romance back to their roots in Florida. After drinks on the rooftop of River & Fort, they took a walk by the water to the exact spot where he had asked her to be his girlfriend two years prior. Dropping to one knee, Brian completely surprised Alaina, turning a familiar waterfront walk into an absolute core memory.
When Alaina was scrolling through Instagram, she came across the portfolio of Southern Palms Studio and instantly fell in love with the work. Discovering that the studio was a preferred partner with their dream venue felt like the ultimate win-win, making it an effortless choice to trust them with their memories.
A Simple and Romantic Farm Escape
Alaina and Brian both love animals and dreamed of an outdoor, open space that felt entirely like home. The moment they toured Kelly Farm, they fell completely in love with the pastoral landscape. It was the first and only venue tour they ever took.
Using Pinterest as their guide, they curated a theme focused on simple, timeless romance. Alaina chose a beautiful dusty blue color palette, intentionally making her bridesmaids her "something blue." Guided by the expert coordination of Florida Wedding Supplies, every detail fell perfectly into place, creating an inviting, relaxed atmosphere that allowed the couple to shut out any outside noise and focus entirely on each other.
Because Alaina and Brian both work from home, they are rarely apart. Spending the morning of the wedding in separate suites was a true test of patience. The anticipation built beautifully toward the ceremony, where Officiant Moo Hadden from Sensational Ceremonies led a meaningful Christian service. For both Alaina and Brian, the absolute pinnacle of the day was finally locking eyes as Alaina walked down the aisle, cementing their transition from best friends to husband and wife.
Popsicles, Party Buses, and a Trio of Cakes
Following the ceremony, the celebration kicked into high gear with a heavy dose of fun, unique details, and incredible energy. Guests arrived at the reception in style via the Jax Party Bus and were treated to a crowd-favorite feast from Davolis, where the owner Fred provided a wonderfully personal dining experience.
Instead of settling on just one wedding cake flavor, the couple opted for a delicious mix of three custom Publix cakes: vanilla with vanilla custard, chocolate with cookies and cream, and a classic marble with wedding cream cheese frosting. Adding a uniquely refreshing Florida touch, guests also treated themselves to gourmet popsicles from The Hyppo.
With Toast with Cocktails pouring custom drinks and Footloose Entertainment steering the music, the dance floor stayed packed all night long. Guests lined up to capture their own candid memories inside the KRUU photo booth, keeping the energy electric until the very last song.
As the spectacular evening drew to a close, the newlyweds looked forward to returning home to their beloved golden retriever/husky mix, Jameson, before packing their bags for a dream spring honeymoon. In April, they are setting off to explore Edinburgh and Glencoe in Scotland, followed by a trip to Dublin, Ireland. It is the perfect beginning to a lifetime of post-work walks, shared laughter, and building a beautiful family together.
